Climb With Us to the top.

On Our Mission:

To educate children to become the future leaders of Liberia. Hilltop Schools supports children’s rights to education, health, and protection.

OUR MODEL

Hilltop Schools is built on four pillars to ensure our students’ rights are protected and their potential is realized: Safety, Health, Education, and Monitoring. We focus on strong safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure students, teachers, parents, and all staff understand and protect children’s rights. We provide basic healthcare, so that students are healthy and ready to learn. We build teacher capacity and provide high quality curriculum so that our students are striving academically. Finally, we conduct rigorous assessments to understand student learning data and have ongoing monitoring to be sure that we are succeeding at all pillars of our work.

EDUCATION

Every child has a right to education. Hence, education is free at our schools. We invest time and resources in recruiting, training, and supporting teachers. We provide a high-quality curriculum and conduct regular training to develop teacher skills and ensure students are learning.

HEALTH

All students have access to basic healthcare at our school. Students learn about health and wellness to keep themselves and their families healthy. We believe no child should have to suffer from preventable and treatable illnesses.

SAFETY

Our safety team, led by seasoned social workers, trains staff, students, and parents on children's rights and safety reporting procedures. Additionally, students are provided psychosocial and counseling support. Our social workers also ensure that students are safe and free from abuse on and off campus.

Monitoring

We care about our impact. We collect data on attendance, student learning outcomes, health treatment, safety incidents, and a host of other metrics so that we can improve programs, inform our trainings, and continuously learn and improve. Data is a critical component to ensuring we are truly ensuring the safety, health, and quality learning for each of our students.

Who We Are

Hilltop Schools Inc. is a women-led Liberian school management NGO providing education, health, and protection services to children in Liberia. We currently operate two tuition-free schools for children from low-income families and vulnerable communities: More Than Me Academy, our all-girls academy in Central Monrovia, serving students from Nursery to 12th Grade, and Zoe Robinson Academy, our dual-gender academy in Congo Town, Catholic Hospital Community, serving students from Kindergarten to Junior High. Both schools follow the same recruitment criteria based on vulnerability and need, prioritizing children who would not be able to attend school otherwise. Our programs are holistic and supportive from early years through graduation, and we also provide scholarships to high-achieving alumni to continue into universities and technical schools in Liberia.
